WASHINGTON, D.C. – Americans seized with fear and oozing dread filled plastic bags and totes with gasoline after a hack of a Colonial fuel pipeline this week, but the line has been re-opened and the company is thanking the White House for help in the disaster.
Colonial initiated the restart of pipeline operations Wednesday at approximately 5 p.m. ET, the company said. Following this restart, it will take several days for the product delivery supply chain to return to normal. Some markets served by Colonial Pipeline may experience, or continue to experience, intermittent service interruptions during the start-up period. Colonial will move as much gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel as is safely possible and will continue to do so until markets return to normal.
The interruption of gas deliveries after a hack by Eastern European terrorists sent some crazed individuals to hoard gas, loading up plastic sacks, totes, anything they could find, with gasoline – which could be very dangerous and possibly deadly.
As part of this startup process, Colonial will conduct a comprehensive series of pipeline safety assessments in compliance with all Federal pipeline safety requirements.
This is the first step in the restart process and would not have been possible without the around-the-clock support of Colonial Pipeline’s dedicated employees who have worked tirelessly to help us achieve this milestone. Colonial thanked the White House for their leadership and collaboration, as well as the Department of Energy, Department of Transportation, FBI, PHMSA, FERC and other federal, state and local agencies for their ongoing support during the catastrophe.

Like the energy company CEO in Texas said when asked was your company selling natural gas out of state during the record cold spell. His answer I don’t know nobody told me which way the valves were turned. Can’t make this stuff up.
I’m betting on highschoolers myself. It’s too bad that some of these states are smarter than their children and don’t protect their companies well enough. Yeap, coming to our state one day since our “govt officials” have the minds of elementary kids!
