MASON CITY – A speeding driver allegedly made an illegal u-turn, leading a law enforcement deputy to make a drunk driving arrest Monday morning in Mason City.
The incident took place early Monday morning, August 28, 2017, when a Cerro Gordo deputy made contact with a vehicle near 12th Street NW and North Polk Avenue. The driver allegedly made an illegal u-turn and was speeding. The vehicle was stopped and after an investigation, the driver, 18-year-old Parker John Schnieders, was arrested for operating while intoxicated, speeding, underage alcohol consumption, and making a turn from improper lane.
Schneiders was jailed and soon released, pending a court date.
