MASON CITY – Police shut down a prostitution operation today in Mason City.
The raid took place Wednesday at 546 East State Street, at a business known as Asian Body Works. Mason City police served a search warrant as part of an investigation into that business. This led to the arrest of Suling Lu, age 48 of Mason City, for the charge of prostitution, an aggravated misdemeanor.
Lu was taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
The department was assisted by the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation and Department of Homeland Security-Investigative Division.
The investigation of this case continues and more arrests are possible, police say. There was no word on if any “johns” were known or could possibly be arrested in the on-going investigation.
This raid took place just a couple of blocks from the police station and right across the street from Mayor Eric Bookmeyer’s house. He didn’t immediately respond to a request for a comment.

I believe her and her sex inslaved trafficing girls were busted in Marion a few months ago with the same racket. They kidnapp girls from China that want a better life and sell them into sex slavery.
