VOLLEYBALL
What’s next: The NIACC volleyball team (13-13 overall, 1-5 in the ICCAC) plays at Southeastern (1-30, 0-5) at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Last time out: NIACC topped Ellsworth 3-0 in a nonconference match on Monday in Iowa Falls. The Lady Trojans were led by freshman Kaylee Whittington with 15 kills and 10 digs. Sophomore Karlie Niedert had 12 kills and 7 blocks and freshman Aubury Coleman had 7 kills and 5 blocks.

Lady Trojan tidbits: Whittington’s 312 kills this season is the most since McKenzie Heue had 318 and Sammy Nelson had 317 in the 2011 season … Winter’s 456 assists this season is the most since Annie Bieth accumulated 532 assists in the 2004 season.

MEN’S SOCCER
What’s next: The NIACC men’s soccer team (7-8-1 overall, 3-8-1 in the ICCAC) plays at Northeast CC (2-10, 2-10) at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Last time out: NIACC topped Indian Hills 1-0 on Saturday. The Trojans received a penalty kick from Dion Dozzell to claim the ICCAC victory.
Leading the way: Freshman Dion Dozzell leads the Trojans with 7 goals and 3 assists. Sophomore Hafiz Sanor and freshman Khaliyl Hanson both have 4 goals. Cesar Herrera leads the Trojans with 4 assists.
Did you know? The 7 wins by NIACC this season is the most in the Jonathan Platt era. Platt’s previous high win total was 6 in the 2013 season.

CROSS COUNTRY
What’s next: The NIACC men’s and women’s cross country teams return to action Nov. 1 at the NJCAA Region XI meet in Fort Dodge. The 8-kilometer men’s race starts at 11 a.m. and the 5K women’s race begins at noon.
Last time out: The No. 18 (NJCAA Division I) NIACC men placed fourth at the Loras College Dr. Tucker Invitational Friday in Dubuque. Sophomore Imad Amenzou won the 8-kilometer race in 25 minutes, 49 seconds for his second victory of the season.
The No. 13 NIACC women placed sixth at the Dr. Tucker Invitational. Freshman Jessica Blumberg led the Lady Trojans with a fifth-place finish in a time of 23:53 in the 6K race, which is the fifth fastest 6K in school history.
