MASON CITY – Two Mason City residents were taken to jail after police were called to an apartment complex for a burglary in progress early Thursday morning.
According to Mason City police, on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at around 6:00 AM, officers from the Mason City Police Department responded to a report of a burglary in progress at an apartment complex in the 400 block of S. Kentucky Avenue.
After a preliminary investigation, officers placed two subjects at the scene under arrest for burglary. Jessica Sturm, age 32, of Mason City was charged with two counts of 3rd Degree Burglary. Allen Hare, age 46, of Mason City was also charged with two counts of 3rd Degree Burglary.
Both subjects were transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
Sturm has been charged numerous times by Mason City police for theft.
