RURAL WINNEBAGO COUNTY – A Lake Mills man has lost his life after a sing-vehicle accident Saturday evening.
Thomas Lamarr Preyer IV, age 36, was southbound on county road R74 just before midnight on Saturday when his 1988 Oldsmobile Regency left the roadway and entered the east ditch. The car struck a tree, and Preyer was fatally injured. He was wearing a seatblet.
The Iowa State Patrol responded to the scene, as did the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, LakeMills Fire and Ambulance and Forest City Paramedics.
