MASON CITY – A Mason City man and woman were arrested after they scuffled in a bar as the RAGBRAI party was wrapping up last week.
Minda Rochelle Jones, age 35, and Jonathan Paul Quinones, age 34, were at Sportsmans Lounge, 217 North Federal Avenue, just before 2:00 AM on July 24th when they began to fight. Police, who were still patrolling after the RAGBRAI event was wrapping up, observed the incident and arrested both individuals. Quinones was charged with assault and aggravated public intoxication, while Jones was charged with public intoxication.
Jones has a court date set for August 6th. She pled guilty to second offense operating while intoxicated earlier this year and was put on probation and forced to complete a substance abuse evaluation at Prairie Ridge.
Quinones has a court date set for August 1st for the intoxication charge and a January 26th, 2015 trial on the assault charge.
Wow!!! That’s some bullshit. I didn’t even fight with that girl lol.
Wow-that is a lot of penalty. A worthless substance abuse course that they sit and laugh about when they are done. It stops nothing and only adds to the cost. Most of these idiots never pay for it so the taxpayers end up footing the bill.
I’d like to see your numbers on that.
@Anonymous-Why, don’t you know how to read it on your own. Matt puts out article after article on it. All you have to do is be smart enough to read it and understand what you read.
