UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Penn State named a new head coach Saturday, as the university announced that James Franklin became the 16th head coach of Penn State Football in its history.

Franklin comes to University Park by way of Vanderbilt University, where he built a 24-15 record and led the Commodores to three-straight bowl games for the first time ever.

According to gopsusports.com, the Nittany Lions have plenty of returning talent, returning 15 starters for the 2014 season (7 offense, 7 defense, 1 specialist).
