AMES – An Iowa man was struck by a car and killed near Jack Trice Stadium late Thursday evening after the Iowa State football game against Texas.
According to a report, Austin Wonderlich, age 23, of Pleasant Hill and formerly of Ames, died after attempting to cross Highway 30 west of University Boulevard in Ames around 11 p.m.
The report states that the first trooper who arrived on the scene performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
