MASON CITY – Around 4:15 pm Friday July 19th, the Mason City Fire Department responded to a shed fire at 209 19th Street SE.
It was said by bystanders that the resident of the rental property was burning leaves and lost control of the fire causing a nearby shed to go up in flames.
The shed was burnt to the frame.
The fire also did damage to the neighbors garage at 207 19th Street SE.
The fire marshall was at the scene investigating and there was no immediate word on the total amount of damages.
