MASON CITY – The Mason City Community Policing Advisory Board has announced plans for a free Women’s Self-Defense Seminar event scheduled from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, May 4th, 2013, at the Mason City Black Belt Academy, 1323 No. Federal. The Mason City Black Belt Academy will present an educational seminar. This seminar will include tips and techniques to help keep you out of danger, and easy techniques to employ if you get into harm’s way. According to local owner and American Taekwondo Association Instructor Raul Carolus, education is the key to being safe. The Community Policing Advisory Board’s goal is to help promote a safer community.
There will be refreshments and door prizes.
