A librarian at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) has received an award for her work on a statewide web site.
Karen Dole is the Iowa webmaster for Delta Kappa Gamma, a professional women’s organization for educators. Dole received the highest recognition award, which is the Achievement Award. It was presented at the Iowa State Upsilon convention in June.
Dole was honored for her work on the state website, for helping other chapters in the state, as well as helping the local chapter establish websites and dispensing vital information and answering various web-based questions.

“This award is not required to be given annually. It is only awarded when the level of an individual’s service reaches what Karen has given to the organization,” said Jessica Putnam, Director of Learning Services at NIACC. “She was presented with a beautiful, inscribed medal to honor all of her hard work. Everyone at NIACC is very proud of the work Karen has done. We are very proud of her.”
