Jon C. Ross has joined Fullerton Funeral Home as a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.
Jon was born in Marshalltown, IA and grew up in Fort Dodge, IA. He graduated from Rosemount High School in Minnesota and earned his BS degree in Education from Mankato State University. He received his Mortuary Science degree from Des Moines Area Community College. After his college graduation Jon taught for several years along with coaching basketball, track and baseball and worked for an insurance company before heading to Asia for a decade of nation building projects. It was while in Asia that Jon met his wife Otgontuya (Otgoo). They were married in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia where their daughter Kristi was born prior to their return to the United States. For the past five years they had been living in the St Cloud, MN area where Jon was working for one of the local funeral homes as a Funeral Director and embalmer. Jon enjoys many sports especially running. He also enjoys teaching in a number of capacities along with traveling and spending quality time with his family. Jon has been active with his local church in many capacities along with active community involvement where ever he has lived. He and his family look forward to living in Charles City and sharing their lives in meeting needs and enriching the community. Jon brings mid-west values and the experience of working cross-culturally in central Asia to help carry on the Fullerton family tradition of providing quality service and care to families here in Northern Iowa.
Fullerton Funeral Home has locations in Charles City, Mason City, Rockford and Rockwell. Jon will be residing at the Charles City location and will be managing day to day operations as well as serving the needs for traditional and cremation services.
