CLEAR LAKE – Thousands of folks from all North Iowa and beyond were in Clear Lake Saturday to enjoy the annual 4th of July parade and other festivities.
The parade was once again smooth and entertaining, with local businesses, sports teams, politicians and others taking part. the weather was warm and humid, a typical, perfect summer’s day.
Later on in the evening, the fireworks show dazzled many thousands more we squeezed into the downtown and north lake shore area. Many “wows” were heard as young and old looked on. The carnival had entertained all day, with folks enjoying their favorite fried foods, cotton candy, sandwiches and drinks as a band played.
