Belvia May (Ring) Lovik, age 90, of rural Orchard, died Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage. Belvia was born to Kenneth and Arlet (Handeland) Wood in Britt, Iowa, on August 20, 1935. She attended and graduated from Riceville schools. Belvia was united in marriage to Earl Ring on February 22, 1954. To this union five children were born: Monty, Teresa, Greg, Arlys, Bruce. Earl died on July 18, 1974. She married Howard Lovik on August 7, 1976, at St. John’s Lutheran Church. To this union one son, Brian, was born.

She worked for Mitchell County Home Health for many years and when she retired, she still helped care for the elderly. Belvia was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and Orchard Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening, baking, and bird watching. Belvia loved being with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren

She is survived by her children, Monty Ring and his wife, Twyla, of Greene, Greg Ring, of Orchard, Arlys May and her husband, Russ of Lyle, Minn., Bruce Ring and his wife, Lynn, of Maplewood, Minn.; Brian Lovik and special friend Sherry, of Orchard, son-in-law Pat Dorsey; grandchildren, Jon Dorsey, Breanna Fox, Jason Ring, Amber Bell, Katie Ring, Cristina Phelps, Tessa Dahl, Megan Rinehardt, Kyle Hinders, Jaden May, Brittany Wood and Casey Ring; great-grandchildren, Kamdin, Hayden, Joshua, Michael, Jaxson, Josie, Jasper, Austin, Travis, Tyler, Trevor, Brynlee, Adalee, Lakyn, Lucy, Landon, Lennyx, Urijah, Faith, August, Judge, Ava, Grace, Bruce, Noah, Ana, Ashtin; great-great-grandchildren Avery, Presley, Jagger, Baylor and Sevvy and brother, Calvin (Joyce) Wood of Ionia.

Belvia was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Earl J. Ring and Howard D. Lovik; daughter, Teresa J. Dorsey; great-grandson, Zane Rinehart and great-granddaughter, Adina Hinders.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1921 317th St., south of Osage, with the Rev. Byron Northwick officiating. Burial will be in the St. Peters Cemetery rural Riceville. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Hoff Celebrations – Champion Chapel in Osage. Visitation will continue one hour before services on Saturday at the church.

Hoff Celebrations – Champion Chapel of Osage is assisting the family with arrangements.
