Vicky Eggerich, 64, of Humboldt, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at home in Humboldt. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Humboldt. Visitation will be held on Monday , December 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Lentz Funeral Home in Humboldt. Services have been entrusted to Lentz Funeral Home of Humboldt.

Victoria Ann Eggerich, the daughter of Clayton and Carolyn (Olden) Larsen, was born on February 13, 1961, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She grew up in Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School with the class of 1979. Vicky continued her education at Iowa Central Community College, where she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Vicky dedicated her life to caring for others. She worked as a nurse at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital where she worked up until last year. Prior to that she worked a good length of her career at the North Care Center in Humboldt, where she was known for her compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to her patients. Nursing was more than a career for Vicky—it was her calling.

In her free time, Vicky enjoyed sewing, flowers, and gardening. If she wasn’t working, you would find her spending time with her grandchildren who deeply adored her. Above all else, Vicky was the center of her family’s world. She was the steady presence everyone gravitated toward—the one who held the family together through both ordinary days and life’s hardest moments. Her love was constant, selfless, and unconditional, and she gave it freely without ever asking for anything in return. The impact she had on her children and grandchildren is immeasurable, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled. Though her life was marked by quiet strength, the love she shared was powerful, and it will continue to guide and comfort her family forever.

Left to cherish Vicky’s memory are her children: Erica (Adam) Winninger of Humboldt, Joe (Beth) Hinners of Humboldt, and Kursten Eggerich of Humboldt; grandchildren: Brooks, Karson, Annie, Brynlee, Addison, Caden, Clayton, Brayden, Hunter, and Macklin; her mother, Carolyn Larsen of Humboldt; and her siblings: Pete (Carolyn) Larsen of Rutland, Dave (Julie) Larsen of Rutland, Linda Larsen of Richfield, Minnesota, and Maggie Larsen (E.J. Kelley) of Clark, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her father: Clayton Larsen and son: Justin Hinners.
