MASON CITY – The North Iowa Events Center announced today that General Manager David Green will leave the organization to return to Arizona. His last day will be July 15, 2014. Green has served as the General Manager for the last two years.

Paul Harris, President of the North Iowa Events Center Board of Directors, stated, “David has worked hard to move the organization forward. Due to his and the Board’s hard work and dedication, the state of the organization is strong. The North Iowa Events Center Board will attain an executive leader to further grow and fortify the organization as a multipurpose facility and economic engine for North Central Iowa.”

Harris said a search for Green’s replacement will begin immediately. In the interim period, the North Iowa Events Center Board and administrative staff will serve and lead in the various positions until a candidate is hired. All operations will continue to run as scheduled.

The North Iowa Events Center is a 501-C-3 nonprofit organization responsible for serving as a multipurpose facility attracting an estimated $3.4 million dollars in visitor spending to the local economy. The facility also adds to the quality of life serving as a valuable asset to North Iowa.
