FAYETTE COUNTY – Law enforcement in Fayette county nabbed three alleged lawbreakers in three separate incidents.

On May 23, 2025, at approximately 3:54 AM, a Fayette County Deputy witnessed Roger A. Steadman, 58 of West Union, operating a vehicle on S. Mill Street in Wadena, Iowa. A check revealed that Steadman’s driver’s license was suspended multiple times for failing to satisfy Iowa fines. Steadman was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was held awaiting his initial appearance.

On May 20, 2025, at approximately 3:15 PM, a Fayette County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a Silver 2006 Nissan Pathfinder for a traffic infraction on King Road near Lincoln Road, approximately five miles north of West Union. After further investigation, the driver was identified as William George Hruska Jr, age 44 of Lawler, Iowa. Hruska Jr. was found to have a valid Winneshiek County Warrant for his arrest for Burglary 3rd Degree (D Felony). Hruska Jr. was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail and, then, transported to the Winneshiek County Jail. Additionally, after deployment of a K9, a search warrant was executed on the Nissan and illegal items were seized. This incident is still pending further investigation.

WILLIAM GEORGE HRUSKA JR

On May 24, 2025, at approximately 3:09 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received report of a vehicle driving all over the road on K Avenue approaching Highway 3. A Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy responded and located the vehicle on Highway 3 near the intersection of K Avenue. Upon investigation 25-year-old Kaleb Riley Dripps of Oelwein was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail. Dripps was charged with Driving on the Wrong Side of a Two Way Highway, and Operating While Intoxicated—1st Offense. Dripps was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was held for an initial appearance.
