City: Phase 2 of sewer project “progressing as scheduled”

MASON CITY – Phase 2 of the sanitary sewer improvement project is progressing as scheduled.

Paving of South 8^th and 10^th Streets at South Federal Avenue is completed. South Federal Avenue will be returned to normal traffic flow with both lanes in the northbound and southbound open by the end of today.

Street closures will begin at the intersection of 10^th Street SW between Washington and Federal Avenues and 8^th Street SE between Delaware and Federal Avenues.

Please exercise caution while traveling near or in the work zone. Expect congestion and delays around this area while the street is under construction. Be watchful of construction workers and equipment if you are traveling near the work zone. Motorists are urged to avoid traveling in this area and plan an alternate if possible. Staff apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
