INDEPENDENCE, IOWA – Law enforcement in this Northern Iowa county announced numerous recent arrests for week of March 16-22, 2025.
On Sunday, March 16, 2025 at approximately 12:40 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Robert Michael Moses, 48, of Winthrop. Moses was charged with first offense Operating While Intoxicated/Impaired (serious misdemeanor) and cited for Failure to Maintain Control. This arrest was made following a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the 3300 block of Quasqueton Avenue.
On Monday, March 17, 2025 at approximately 1:00 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Chris Michael Johnson, 50, of Waterloo. Johnson was charged with Driving While License Barred (aggravated misdemeanor). This arrest was made following a traffic stop near the 260 mile marker of Hwy 20.
On Monday, March 17, 2025 at approximately 4:10 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Chazzer Randy Farmer, 22, of Jesup. Farmer was charged with Driving While License Suspended (simple misdemeanor) and Failure to Cary SR22 Insurance as Required (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made following a traffic stop near Main Street and Young Street in Jesup.
On Monday, March 17, 2025 at approximately 6:15 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Brent Alfred Wierck, 39, of Fairbank. Wierck was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Probation Violation and held on bond at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Monday, March 17, 2025 at approximately 6:45 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Nancy Jeannine Bradshaw, 44, of Oelwein. Bradshaw was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Probation Violation and held on bond at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Monday, March 17, 2025 at approximately 9:15 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Marne Elizabeth Ryan, 48, of Waterloo. Ryan was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Failure to Appear and taken into custody from the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office.
On Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at approximately 1:15 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Keyshaun Terrel King, 27, of Hollywood, FL. King was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for an original charge of first degree Theft (class C felony) and held on bond at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at approximately 5:30 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Sharon Denise Schultz, 44, of Jesup. Schultz was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Fayette County for original charges of Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana (serious misdemeanor) and Driving While License Barred (serious misdemeanor). This arrest was made in the 300 bl0ck of 10th Street in Jesup. The Jesup Police Department assisted in this arrest.
On Thursday, March 20, 2025 at approximately 5:00 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Tara Rachel Corkery, 50, of Independence. Corkery was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for original charges of False Reports (serious misdemeanor) and Malicious Prosecution (serious misdemeanor). This arrest was made in the 400 block of 11th Avenue NW in Independence.
On Thursday, March 20, 2025 at approximately 9:15 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Alisa Begic, 21, of Waterloo. Begic was charged with Driving While License Suspended (simple misdemeanor). Begic was also arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Story County for Failure to Appear. This arrest was made following a traffic stop near the 54 mile marker of I380.
On Saturday, March 22, 2025 at approximately 3:00 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Harley David Bushaw, 28, of Hazleton. Bushaw was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Probation Violation. This arrest was made in the 100 block of First Street S in Hazleton.
On Saturday, March 22, 2025 at approximately 11:30 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Matthew Wade Stacey, 31, of Oelwein. Stacey was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Parole Violation. This arrest was made in the 100 block of 16th Avenue NW in Independence.
