MASON CITY – There is reason to celebrate at NIACC this week as new students are apparently flocking to the campus to enhance their skills in the hopes of furthering their careers.
“Big, Big News!” the college proclaimed this week. “NIACC is celebrating a 7.7% increase in new student enrollment for 2024. That’s the highest enrollment increase at NIACC in 39 years!”
After taxpayers footed millions for new dorms and fancy facilities on the sparkling campus, one would hope kids would want to attend classes there.
“This milestone is a reflection of the success our students find here,” the notice continued. ”
“We’re proud to be one of the top community colleges in the Midwest. Today, students, faculty, and staff gathered to mark the occasion with cookies, refreshments, and some extra special guests—adorable dogs from the Humane Society of North Iowa! Why the dogs? Because the paw-sitive energy on the NIACC campus is undeniable!”
NIACC is at 500 College Drive in Mason City, and classes can be enrolled at the main office.
