HOWARD COUNTY, ARKANSAS – A missing Iowa man was found deceased inside a car at the bottom of an Arkansas lake, authorities say.

On August 4, 2024, the Howard County Arkansas Sheriff’s Office was contacted regarding a vehicle found submerged in Gillham Lake in Howard County. With the assistance of a dive team, the Sheriff’s Office was able to recover the vehicle from the lake. The vehicle was a Ford Taurus with Iowa License plate KNZ677. The body of a male found inside the vehicle was identified as Joshua Graham-Caskey, a missing person from Winterset, Iowa.

Authorities say Joshua Graham-Caskey had gone missing on January 18, 2024 following a 911 call that he had placed to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. He and his vehicle were last seen on video at a gas station in Mena, Arkansas on January 19, 2024. The car was found approximately 30 minutes south of Mena.

According to the Howard County Sheriff’s Office, there is no evidence of foul play.
