BURLINGTON – A woman loaded with illegal narcotics was nabbed by Iowa cops during a recent traffic stop.
On July 13, 2024, officers from the Burlington, Iowa, police department conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle violation in the 3000 block of Agency street in Burlington. The passenger of the vehicle was identified as Aliene Ingram Wissert. The suspect admitted to officers that she had some illegal narcotics in her purse and on her person.
Upon search of her pockets and purse, officers located approximately 84 grams of marijuana and approximately 76 grams of methamphetamine.
Wissert was placed under arrest and transported to the Des Moines County Correctional Facility and was charged with the following:
– Two counts of Failure to Affix Drug Stamp (Class D Felony)
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class D Felony)
– Controlled Substance Violation (Class B Felony)
