INDEPENDENCE, IOWA – Law enforcement in this Northern Iowa county announced numerous recent arrests.
On Sunday, January 28, 2024 at approximately 2:20 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Cory Louis Zwiefelhofer, 32, of Fairbank. Zwiefelhofer was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury (serious misdemeanor). This arrest was made following a disturbance in the 100 blk Fifth Street N in Fairbank.
On Sunday, January 28, 2024 at approximately 7:45 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Travis Frank Norton, 29, of Strawberry Point. Norton was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County per Court Order. This arrest was made in the 2400 blk Quasqueton Diagonal Blvd.
On Monday, January 29, 2024 at approximately 8:00 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Travis Frank Norton, 29, of Strawberry Point. Norton was charged with Domestic Abuse Offender in Possession of Ammunition (class D felony) and Possession of Contraband or Weapon in Correctional Facility (class D felony). These charges were added based upon Norton being found in Possession of Ammunition when he was arrested the day prior. Norton remained on hold at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at approximately 11:00 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Travis Frank Norton, 29, of Strawberry Point. Norton was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Violation of Pre-Trial Release and remained on hold at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Thursday, February 01, 2024 at approximately 4:30 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Anthony Michael Euvino, 42, of Cedar Falls. Euvino was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for an original charge of Violation of Protection Order (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made in the 200 blk East Sixth Street in Waterloo.
On Friday, February 02, 2024 at approximately 9:00 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Nicholas James Bloes, Jr., 50, of Cedar Rapids. Bloes charged with first degree Burglary (class B felony) and Assault Causing Bodily Injury (serious misdemeanor). This arrest was made following a disturbance in the 300 blk Branard Street in Brandon that occurred on 01/23.
On Friday, February 02, 2024 at approximately 8:30 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested April Danielle Silva, 55, and James Quenton Dugan, 45, both of Hazleton. Both Silva and Dugan were each charged with Violation of Protection Order (simple misdemeanor). These arrests were made in the 400 blk E Sufficool Street in Hazleton.
