
WATERLOO – A man was found laying in a Waterloo yard, shot multiple times, and after police nabbed two suspects earlier, they announced the arrest of another man in connection to the crime.
NIT earlier reported that on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 4:47 AM, Waterloo Police Officers were dispatched to 218 Glenwood St on a report of person who had been shot. Officers arrived on scene and observed a male victim laying in the front yard next to the driveway unresponsive. The male victim appeared to have been shot several times.
Officers performed life saving measures, until Waterloo Fire and Ambulance arrived and transported the victim to Allen. The victim was identified as 36 yrs. old Richard Sturdivant. Two suspects were arrested in connection to the incident, police said: 29-year-old Marqwane Smith and 24 -year-old Karondius Kelly.
During the course of the ongoing investigation, Waterloo detectives obtained a first-degree robbery arrest warrant for 22-year-old Dajoniss Morman-Jenkins (pictured above). On Thursday January 18, 2024, at approximately 5:33 PM, Waterloo Police Detectives were able to locate Morman-Jenkins and take him into custody on his warrant.
