MASON CITY – A Mason City man has been charged in connection with the recent armed robbery of a North End Casey’s store.
As a result of the investigation of the armed robbery of the Casey’s at 813 North Federal earlier this month, charges have been filed against Jesup Allen Ward (18) of Mason City.
A warrant for Ward’s arrest for the offense of Robbery in the 1st Degree, a class B felony, has been issued and he is currently in custody at the Worth County Jail.
The troubled store was robbed back on January 3, 2023, by what police described as a white male.

Infamously, at this same Casey’s store back in 2011, Brandon Crawford was murdered by Jamaal J. Leslie, who used a gun to commit the murder. He was guilty of first-degree murder,sentenced to life in prison and lost his appeal in the case.
This past April, across the street at 814 N Federal Avenue, a person was shot and injured at 814 N Federal Avenue at the “Reynolds Apartments.”
