MASON CITY – The Mason City fire department released the name of the deceased person in a recent apartment fire.
The Mason City Fire Department is providing an update to the fire located at – The Manor apartments at 4 3rd Street NW.
Ronald Smith, age 78, resident of apartment 549, was the fatality of the fire, which occurred on October 3, 2022. Smith was transported to Mercy One and died from his injuries.
The Mason City Fire Department expressed condolences to family and friends of Mr. Smith.
