Wanted St. Ansgar man who dealt deadly drug dose nabbed in Palo Alto county

PALO ALTO COUNTY – A wanted St. Ansgar man who dealt a deadly drug dose was nabbed by cops in Palo Alto county.

On April 28, 2022 at 6:42 PM, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was called to 5432 300th St. west of Fenton. After an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, 42-year-old Eric Allen Young of Saint Ansgar, Iowa was placed under arrest for an active arrest warrant from the United States Marshall’s Service. The warrant was issued for Distribution of a Controlled Substance Resulting in Death in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Section 841(a)(1).

Young was transported to the Chickasaw County Jail, where he will await extradition to the custody of the United States Marshall’s Service.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office, Fenton Ambulance Service, and the Palo Alto County Ambulance Service.
