IOWA FALLS – An Iowa Falls woman pled guilty to felony assault and child endangerment charges after injuring a toddler – and then was arrested again when she tried to babysit kids.
Kimberly Vanessa Murray, age 27 of Iowa Falls, was arrested by Iowa Falls police on March 1, 2017 for an alleged incident that took place on February 20, 2017, in which she injured a toddler and caused bruising on the child’s body. As a result of that incident, Iowa Falls police investigated and filed a complaint in court on February 26. Records show an arrest warrant was issued two days later, leading to the apprehension of Murray on charges of child endangerment causing bodily injury and assault causing bodily injury.
In July, Murray pled guilty to both charges. She was given a suspended 5-year prison sentence, a suspended 365 day jail sentence, 3 years of probation, and was ordered to pay $1,880.22 in fines and court fees.
Records show Murray was wanted on an arrest warrant in September for violating her probation. Reportedly, she was advertising for her day care services. She was soon arrested and taken to jail.
