Alleged murderer of Mason City man to stand trial

CHARLES CITY – A suspect police say shot and killed a Mason City man in June in Charles City says he’s not guilty and will stand trial in September.

In July, the Chicago Police Department took 36-year-old Antoine Tyree Williams into custody on a warrant for first-degree murder issued from an incident which took place in Charles City on June 30, 2017 at 9:46 hours in the 2100 block of Clarkview Drive.

The victim in this homicide, killed by firearm, is identified as Nathaniel Fleming, age 36. His last address was in Mason City.

Williams has entered a not-guilty plea in this case and is set for a September 12 jury trial.
