MASON CITY – Bad tail lights led to the arrest of a Mason City man for drunk driving this week.
A Mason City police officer conducted a traffic stop late on the evening of June 14, at about 10:35 PM, near Federal Avenue and 11th Street SW. The driver’s car had no tail lights, leading to the traffic stop. After an investigation, the driver, 65-year-old James Grant McGowan, Jr., was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
McGowan was taken to the county jail, booked and released, pending a court date.
Typical MC…not even sure what to call you people, except shallow and below any bar of decent. This is a good person I know him. He’s a father, grandfather, friend, blue collar hardworking son of a gun driving his personal/work van that happens to be white. Now he’s a suspect in a murder that happened 20 years ago?! Your probably the people who look disgusted at families in the grocery store with a crying child. Try grabbing onto some life of your own instead judging everyone in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sure hope nothing happens to you and you get your picture plastered on a website. Pricks!
