MASON CITY – Three people were caught with meth during a felony theft arrest Thursday at Mills Fleet Farm in Mason City.

On Thursday March 16 at 10:20 AM, the Mason City Police Department was notified by employees of Mill’s Fleet Farm that they were watching a group of people believed to be shoplifting in the store. Patrol Officers and the Criminal Investigation Division responded to the store. At 12:50 PM two subjects were taken into custody in the parking lot, leaving the store. They were Susan Khamsai, age 32 of Webster City and Boonmee Vongsee, age 33 also of Webster City. A short time later a third suspect, Gary Black, age 43 of Des Moines was also taken into custody inside the store. All three subjects were charged with felony second-degree theft. The total value of the property taken was between $1,000 and $10,000. All the property was recovered and given back to Mill’s Fleet Farm.

All three subjects also had Methamphetamines in their possession and were charged with Possession of Controlled Substance. Mr. Black was also charged with 9 counts of Removing a Theft Detection Device. All three subjects were taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail and held on $5,000 bond. Black later posted bond and was released. The other two suspects remain in jail Friday.

    1. The U.S.? Hold on! Didn’t the U.S. Armed forces feed our world war 1 and 2 solders meth to keek them up longer to fight the war! Hasn’t our own government been a huge part in meth and marijuana manufacturing and sales throughout the world and the U.S.? Don’t get me wrong, I love the USA but “These people” are a product of a pandemic that this country has a great deal of ownership of starting. Rather elighant or donkey, the finger points be to the U.S.
