Waterloo cops foil hash oil dealer

WATERLOO – An Oregon man was busted in Waterloo with an expensive stash of hash oil.

On May 31, investigators with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force received information that a quantity of Hash Oil was arriving in the Waterloo area.

Law enforcement prepared, and a traffic stop and a search of the vehicle was conducted that resulted in over 5 pounds of Hash Oil being seized. The street value of the Hash Oil was nearly $200,000.

The defendant, 39-year-old Eric Lee Hepperle of Tigard, Oregon, was placed under arrest and transported to the Black Hawk County Jail. He was charged in Black Hawk County District Court with Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana and Drug Tax Stamp Violation.

The Tri-County Drug Task Force was assisted by the BHC Sherriff’s Office and the Waterloo Police Department.
