MASON CITY – A Britt woman was jailed after store security caught her and two other persons attempting to steal.
Mason city police were called to the Wal-Mart store at 4151 4th Street SW on November 25 at about 3:14 PM after store security called and reported that they had detained three people for stealing. Police arrived and after an investigation, 20-year-old Briana Sue Bakkum of Britt was arrested and charged with fifth degree theft. The other two persons were not arrested or charged.
Bakkum was jailed and later released, pending a court date.
