MASON CITY – He burned a house down, but won’t go to jail.
Roger Kuck, age 57, was charged with felony C second degree arson and felony D third degree burglary after a house next door to his home burned down on October 29th, 2013. The house – located at 112 Brook Terrace – had been vacant for a number of months prior to the incident. He eventually plead guilty to the arson charge is exchange for the dismissal of the burglary charge.
On Tuesday, Kuck received a suspended 10-year-prison sentence, 5 years of probation and $11,568.00 in fines and other court costs. He now awaits a hearing to deal with restitution on October 20.

As Ive said before our judicial system is so f**ked up it really does favor the criminals and they know it. Its really hard to believe this guy might get off better than those two boys that stripped a tree of bark. What a f**ken shame.

Nice. 2 thirteen year olds will have felony records for tree bark and this guy gets no time for burning down his neighbors house…This I don’t get. I bet the Judge was Colleen Weiland.
