I really would like to get a subscription to this site. But when I see that Phili is monopolizing the whole site, every single article. I’m wondering if it’s even worth it. I want the subscription to read the articles and local news since the Glob doesn’t report anything. I just don’t want to read all Phili’s bull. It’s ridiculous, you look over at the recent comments and it’s all him. What an ego that guy has.
Nationally, black friday shopping was down 7%.
Although the powers that be seem to equate shopping with a patriotic duty, glad to see the public giving a big, fat yawn to the system.
So, who can amaze our readers with their tales of the shopping madness this weekend? Anyone find a sweet deal or two? See anyone get out of control groping for the marked-down goods?

Wonder how the cerro gordo county jailbirds liked the turkey we bought them? I hope it was tukey loaf that is made out of intestines but anyways I hope the world can become a better place from now on and they keep the losers locked up longer and longer, no more reduced jail terms.
I’m not a subscriber yet. In fact I just spoke with Matt as to get started..but on the front page. John Rhem, I,saw him on mugshots and have heard about his recent troubles. I hope this young man can get cleaned up, get away from his mother and break the cycle. He actually is quite a smart young man. He helped start the robotics club at the high school and really had some dreams, and could be a success. I don’t want to see this kid end up like Phili. C’mon Johny, you’re better than…
Matt- I’d appreciate the ability to at least read the comments to articles without having to pay for a subscription. Now that I cannot even do that there is no point in coming to the site. This change will kill your advertisers as your traffic will drop to the few people who bicker back and forth here in the Den. You could have had a great thing, now I fear you’ve killed it with greed.
On another note. where’s Sharpton when you need him. I’m sure that bill cosby could use his support, lol.

Sorry, but I will continue to NOT post my name. After reading the comments back and forth between Phili and the Glob. Phili is quite a frightening individual. People that are high not only bore me, but people like you that are high frankly scare the hell out of me. Get some help dude….you are truly certifiable.

Yeah I think it’s time for Matt to incorporate Facebook logins to NIT. If he can find away to still allow anonymous logins…then fine, but by incorporating FB users, he’ll get a whole bunch of folk who want to comment on stories but don’t believe in the shady underworld of anonymous identities. I’d be alright if he did away with the fake handles altogether. Any thoughts?

Here is some more INFO for you unbelievers. As of Jan. 1, 2015 the Federal Government (Emperor Obama) will no longer subsidize the states Obamacare. This will put a additional burden of millions of dollars on the states. I am not sure if Iowa comes under it or not. I think possibly not as I seem to recall that was the reason Branstad set up the Iowa Plan. Minnesota however, certainly does fall under it. Good luck tax payers, you taxes are going up.

I just finished a casting call interview for a reality TV program based on an internationally known Reiki Healer who supposedly removes blockages from your life. It’s a paid gig. He said Iowans are known for being honest, and I added “ignorant too”, but he didn’t like that much. I clarified and said they have a hard time moving forward.
Here is another little information for all the Obama lovers. Over Labor Day your leader spent over 1.5 million dollars of taxpayer money flying around in Air Force One for fundraisers for Democrats. That is right, fundraisers paid for by our taxes. This was just one weekend. We need to change the law so this can not happen anymore.
I concur that global warming is real and we need to plan for rising sea levels, extreme drought affecting food supplies and social unrest, etc. The earth’s climate has always been in a state of flux and to believe that mankind has caused this latest upheaval is granting us too much credit. It has not been proven that mankind is responsible nor has it been proven that our actions can reverse the process. We have adapted to change in the past and we will in the future.
Alert, Alert-The global warming alarmist are now saying that we must stop eating and food grown in the ground because it causes CO2. That also means we must stop using our food for fuel (always a pet peeve of mine). Stop it now people before it is to late.
It was nice to see a decent amount of people in Southbridge Mall Friday evening. Walkers, shoppers, young and old. 80’s music. A new holiday store. It’s a shame that the mall seems to be missing out on the fact that people would love to be there, but they aren’t given enough reasons to go.
