Jury trial set for Mason City woman who allegedly brought drugs into jail

MASON CITY – A trial date has been set for a Mason City woman accused of  theft, trespassing and bringing drugs into the jail.

Lisa Lee Arnold, age 48 was arrested on April 17, 2014 at Hy-Vee West, 2400 4th Street SW in Mason City, on charges of enhanced third degree theft, trespassing and a felony charge of furnishing drugs to inmates.

Arnold will face a jury trial on July 15th on the theft and drug charges. She faces a trial in October on the trespassing charge.

Arnold is a convicted felon.  She was found guilty of felony C first degree burglary in Webster county in 2002 after charges were brought by Fort Dodge police.  She was incarcerated in the Mitchellville prison for women for about 5 months.

  1. Even if the police did not give you a chance to shed your drugs before going to jail, she still could have said hey, I got more dope on me. Bottom line, they don’t have to give her time and she shouldn’t have had drugs on her! I agree Judy, can’t fix stupid and this one is stupid!

    1. The police don’t allow you to get rid of the drugs. They bring you to jail and then make additional charges.

      1. @Nature-It wouldn’t make any difference if you didn’t have illegal drugs. That makes you a criminal doesn’t it?
