Iowa man who burned wife and house sentenced to prison

DAVENPORT – A 60-year-old Iowa man accused and convicted of setting his house and wife on fire was sentenced to 27 years in prison, the Associated Press reported.

Tom Kuan was charged with arson, attempted murder, domestic abuse and willful injury by the Davenport Police Department after authorities said Kuan dumped gasoline on his wife and himself and then ignited it. Both Kuan and his wife were severely burned in the incident.

Records show that Kuan plead guilty to felony B arson and aggravated misdemeanor domestic assault.
