IOWA COUNTY – One Iowan is dead after a motocycle mishap Saturday west of Iowa City.
According to a report, a man and a woman were traveling east bound on Interstate 80 when the rear tire deflated on their 1991 Honda motorcycle.
The motorcycle then proceeded to go out of control and both riders were ejected.
Both victims, from Ottumwa, were taken to University of Iowa Hospitals where the 62 year-old female rider was pronounced dead. The male rider, aged 56, was injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
