Rep. Steve Stockman, a conservative Republican from Texas, tweeted Friday that his re-election campaign has a new bumper sticker available for purchase:
IF BABIES HAD GUNS THEY WOULDN’T BE ABORTED
Every $10.00 that is donated brings one sticker to the donor.
Stockman has conceived and coordinated “Mobilizing Morality in America” conferences across his district in Texas with the likes of Jerry Falwell, Tim LaHaye, David Barton, Peter Marshall and other leading conservative and Christian leaders.
Last month, House Republican leaders told Rep. Stockman to take down from a hallway a 10-foot wide sign critical of President Barack Obama.
Stockman called the sign an “Obama Failometer” and said it was “an objective, mathematical measure of Obama’s failure to create jobs.”
Stockman gained national attention when he invited rock musician and gun activist Ted Nugent to be his guest at the State of the Union address. “I am excited to have a patriot like Ted Nugent joining me in the House Chamber to hear from President Obama,” said Stockman.
Refering to victims of gun violence, Stockman asked Nugent in a video posted to Youtube after Obama’s speech “Do you feel that the people that Obama have brought forward to hear his speech, do you feel like they are useful idiots or props in this?”
The video, originally posted to Youtube, has been removed.
