DES MOINES – Iowa legislator Jeff Danielson defended Iowa’s emergency service providers in the wake “a scathing” Des Moines Register article published this weekend that was critical of EMS providers.
“I stood up for” the EMS providers, Danielson said Tuesday.
In the Register’s article, the Register wrote that in its investigation into Iowa’s emergency medical service system, it was revealed that “that some of the emergency medical technicians sent into the homes of vulnerable Iowans in times of crisis have histories of drug abuse, violent crimes, theft, burglary and sexual abuse — histories that often remain hidden.”
