CEDAR FALLS – Former City Attorney for Mason City Tom Meyer is no longer employed at the City of Cedar Falls as its City Attorney.
A call to Cedar Falls City Hall confirmed Tuesday that Meyer had left the position sometime within the last two weeks.
Mr. Meyer told NorthIowaToday.com Tuesday afternoon that his position as city attorney at Cedar Falls has been “outsourced” and City Hall is moving to having no in-house attorneys.
After Meyer resigned from his position at Mason City on September 2nd, 2011, the position of City Attorney was out-sourced to at least two other local attorneys and the position was eliminated.
“Financially, it made sense,” for Cedar Falls to make the change, Mr. Meyer said.
Mr. Meyer intends to pursue a private practice in Mason City.

Mr. Meyer is a top notch bullshitter. He will make it just fine in Mason City. The people in Mason City are so gullible that they will give him lots of business.
