MASON CITY – A Mason City mother is seeking help in locating her missing daughter.

Sara Jane Eden says her daughter, Arianna Marie Kennedy has been missing since 6 PM Sunday. Sara Eden believes a friend picked up Arianna Sunday evening and delivered Arianna to her father, possibly located in Hampton or Ames.  “Her father refuses to tell me where she is or if she’s ok,” Sara said Monday.

Arianna is 16 years old, 5′ 1″ in height and weighs about 110lbs. and does not have a phone.

Sara Eden asks that any information on Arianna be directed to the Mason City Police Department at 641-421-3636.

  1. I’m in Ames. Will keep my eyes open. And for those who are saying nasty things be quiet. The mother is looking for her daughter.

  2. sara is my mother anna is my older sister you all need to shut up and stop talking about my mother the way you are thank you!

    1. The mother was the one seeking the publics help. She brought this public herself and now you’re blaming the public?

No wonder the girl ran away…what a family…

  3. Not to downplay the story….but entergetic is not a word. If your photographer put the words on the picture….find a new photographer.

  4. This sounds like a custody battle. Perhaps it’s good for a father and daughter talk. This is why the public shouldn’t involve itself.

  5. Is her dad the felon named Jeromy Kennedy that got caught dealing drugs in Minnesota and ran to Iowa who exdradited him back?

    1. Very good point. Perhaps the mother has a valid reason to fear for her daughter’s safety. Let’s bringthe young girl home safely and let them work their problems out.

      1. How about DHS getting involved and finding out why a mother would kick her 16 year old daughter out of the house?

    2. Perhaps you should call the mom/dad/girl or police up and ask them. imo your question is moot.

  6. She is posting on facebook that she is not missing, that her mother kicked her out of the house and she’s with other members of her family.

  7. Is this a story about a missing girl or someone with personal issues? Sorta hard to tell with all the (unnecessary) accusations.

  8. This lady may very well be a “bipolar drunk bitch” but she is still this girls mother. She still carried her for nine months and has watcher her grow up, I am sure she is worried like any mother would be, she still has that right to know where her daughter is. If it is a matter of not wanting to be around her drunk mom this girl can always pick up the phone call dhs, an attorney, someone who can help her and go move with her dad. If she is with her dad he should have enough respect to let them mom know even if she is crazy because she is the mother of his child. Parents need to be civil with each other for the sake of the children not try turning the child on the other parent.

  9. She has not contacted me and how do you know it’s really her?? You can call me if you want to and I’ll give you all the #’s I have to contact her father.

  10. From NIT Staff: No personal attacks allowed. Please contribute to finding the missing young lady or not at all.

    1. Not an attack just the truth about what really happened.. Maybe you should look into things before you go posting them on your site… Have you contacted the PD Matt? What have they had to say about this? They aren’t even dealing with this because they’ve been in contact with her father and Arianna is ok… So as far as contributing to locating the girl, She’s with her dad and family! Ask the PD yourself!

  11. she her self said she was okay, why the hell waste the police’s time with such bullshit. she said on her facebook that her mom kicked her out and she’s with family and friends so get over your dam darma

    1. Please, I don’t think you should believe anything said on this site by the parties involved. The police and DHS need to get involved to investigate what is really going on and what is in the best interests of this girl.

    1. people are so stupid these days, her facebook says her mom threw her out and she’s fine with her family and friends sounds like a case for dhs if her mom’s a drunk I would leave to how sad

    2. from what her and her boyfriends facebook reads I would 100% say she’s with him due to all the new photo’s they’ve put up together in the past hour, this is so sad to read about, and a waste of other people’s time really dhs and the dam police. this sara doesn’t need anyone calling her a mom, Becuz no real dam mom would waste people’s time in such BS they would know that there child was okay and fine, she’s no mom at all

      1. Oh, I’d love to comment on all of this, but I already said to leave it up to the police and DHS to sort out. I just hope all this isn’t the result of of the girl not getting her way about being with her boyfriend. If it is, I’d SEND her to live with her father!!!

  12. Bob Thorton… You seem to know so much about me. Are you willing to call me and let me talk to my daughter?? Or are you holding her against her will??

  13. im so sick of all these so called fake posts about missing people…….if shes alright she should be calling her mother and some people should tell police shes fine if not then dont say she is….

  14. From NIT Staff: No personal attacks allowed. Please contribute to finding the missing young lady or not at all.

  15. Exactly. If this Bob Thorton knows that she is perfectly fine, he should be telling the police where she is and how he knows that information so they can close this investigation with a happy ending.
