
IOWA CITY – No. 14 Iowa (12-2, 3-0) defeated No. 20 Nebraska (12-2, 1-2) on New Years Day inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, 86-76.
Hannah Stuelke registered a double-double with 21 points (7-7 FT) and 10 rebounds. It was Stuelke’s 13th career game with 20+ points and third of the season. It was also Stuelke’s second career 20-point double-double. Stuelke is the 14th Hawkeye in program history to record 1,300+ points and 700+ rebounds in her
career. Stuelke has notched double figures in five straight games and in 11 contests overall.
Chit-Chat Wright set a new career-high with 24 points (11-12 FT), three assists, and two steals. It was Wright’s seventh game in double figures as a Hawkeye.
Taylor Stremlow recorded eight points and dished out career-high eight assists.
Ava Heiden netted 18 points (8-10 FG) and grabbed seven rebounds.
Taylor McCabe added nine points. McCabe is 12-of-25 from 3-point range against the Huskers in her career.
