UNION COUNTY – An Iowa woman is dead after a fiery crash on a desolate gravel road late Friday.
The incident took place Friday at about 11:40 PM in Union County, Iowa on Yellow Rose Avenue. Michelle Schrodt, 48, of Loimore, Iowa was northbound on the gravel road when she apparently lost control of her vehicle and went onto the shoulder, over-corrected and struck a tree. The vehicle ended up in a culvert and caught fire.
Loimore was transported to the union County Hospital and pronounced dead.
