Victoria Ann Flores

A Mason City woman was sentenced September 25, 2012, to 8 years in federal prison for her role in a Mason City area methamphetamine conspiracy.

Victoria Flores, age 41, of Mason City, Iowa, received her prison term after a May 17, 2012, guilty plea to conspiring to distribute methamphetamine. Flores was previously convicted of a felony drug offense in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa in March, 2008.

Information provided by the United States at the sentencing and change of plea hearings revealed that, during the conspiracy between January 1, 2011, through February 17, 2012, Flores was supplied methamphetamine and resold it to numerous others.

Flores was sentenced in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, by United States District Court Chief Judge Linda R. Reade. Flores was sentenced to 96 months’ imprisonment. A special assessment of $100 was imposed. She must also serve an 8-year term of supervised release after the prison term. There is no parole in the federal system.

Flores is being held in the United States Marshal’s custody until she can be transported to a federal prison.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jack Lammers and investigated by the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force, Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s office, Mason City Police Department, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.

  1. Prosecuted by a U.S. Court and U.S. Attorneys and she goes to jail the way they should. Our state courts should learn from this. It is a shame. I remeber her from about 12 years ago when she was a 20 something year old, healthy girl. This is what hard drugs will do to a person. She looks 20 years older than she is.
