“Floyd County Back to Work Boot Camp” Class to Be Offered

CHARLES CITY – Charles City Area Development Corporation and NIACC Adult Literacy are partnering to offer residents 17 and older in Floyd County an opportunity to increase their skills to become more employable.

Participants will learn interview techniques, soft skills, build a resume, and have the opportunity to learn the KeyTrain curriculum and take the National Career Readiness (NCR) assessment. Boot Camp will enhance workplace skills and give an “edge” to participants in obtaining employment or advancing with their current employer.

The program is free to participants.  A Staples Foundation Grant to NIACC pays for instruction, materials, KeyTrain curriculum and the National Career Readiness Certificate assessment.
