MASON CITY -The Cerro Gordo County Democratic Party Headquarters will hold a grand opening today at 5:30 PM at 219 North Federal Ave. The party said today that everyone is welcome and that it is a potluck event.
There will be some speeches made. John Stone, Cerro Gordo County Democratic Party Chairman said that “Local office holders and Obama Staff will speak.” Dean Genth said today on the group’s Facebook page that he will have “a few words on behalf of Christie Vilsack—our Candidate for U. S. Congress from the 4th District.”
Stone said that the function of the headquarters “will be working on winning the 2012 Election for all Democratic Candidates from now through November.”
