MASON CITY – Fresh out of jail, a Mason City man skipped his court date and was promptly arrested Saturday morning.
Dustin William Snowbird, age 33, is now in the Cerro Gordo County Jail, held on no bond. He was set for a court hearing Friday afternoon and did not appear. A warrant was promptly issued for his arrest.
Snowbird was taken into custody at around 7 AM Sunday after an officer spotted him. New charges of interference with official acts, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of public intoxication were levied against him.
Snowbird has been arrested already this month a number of times. A downtown Mason City bartender told NIT that Snowbird comes in frequently, sits down at the bar by himself and orders shots of wild turkey. “He plays on his phone, and talks to himself, which usually leads to a heated argument. We have a three drink maximum for him. When we cut him off, he gets really mad.”

I just can’t believe they let this guy out. What the hell are they thinking?
He bonds out. Nothing they can do.
Couldn’t they set his bond higher? If not just keep arresting him. I guess if he wants to keep paying his bond it’s money coming in that could probably be used for something.
It’s about time they pluck those feathers.
