Two Vehicle Accident with Injury on South Delaware

MASON CITY – At approximately 3:55 PM Thursday, a two vehicle accident with injury was reported. The accident was said to have happened at 515 South Delaware and a pregnant lady was involved.

At the scene, which happened in the area of the south driveway of Hardees, with both vehicles ending up on 4th Street, eastbound, the Mason City Fire Department and Mason City Police Department were helping the injured parties.

A female witness said that she did not know the pregnant lady, who apparently was already in the first ambulance that showed up, but said, “I think she is okay, I didn’t see any water.”

Another ambulance was requested, with two arriving at the scene.

A 34 year-old female passenger, was taken to Mercy Medical with neck and back pain. The other ambulance was on standby.

The incident is still under investigation, and at the time, the clean-up crew was asked not to move anything, by request of the Mason City Police Department.
